Advanced Lead Belay and Falling

Become a stronger, safer, and more confident lead climber in our Advanced Lead Belay & Falling Class. Designed for lead-certified climbers of all levels, this course goes beyond the basics to explore advanced belay techniques, rope management, positioning, weight differentials, and managing challenging fall scenarios. You'll also develop practical tools for overcoming fear, improving clipping efficiency, and becoming more comfortable taking falls in a controlled and supportive environment. Through a mix of classroom learning, hands-on practice, and plenty of climbing time, you'll gain the skills and confidence needed to push your climbing to the next level.

Are you a good belayer but want to be a great one? This class digs into the nuances of lead belaying that rarely make it into introductory courses. We’ll be doing a deep dive on positioning, rope management, weight differentials, risky falls, and more.

Do you experience fear around falling, or does the possibility of it distract you on the wall? Whether it's constant or situational, we've got you. Gain tools for navigating fear and anxiety, clip more efficiently (even when pumped), and get more comfortable being airborne.

Must be lead certified prior to the start of class. We will be practicing more risky scenarios in an appropriately challenging, supervised manner. This class is for lead climbers of all levels.

This is a sport climbing course open to climbers of all levels who are looking to push their limits. You must be lead certified before the class starts. We will have some classroom time, lots of climbing time, and you will receive a bunch of resources to take with you.

Cost: This cohort will operate on a sliding scale ranging from $215-$375. Everyone will receive the same level of access and attention regardless of their chosen price.

Prerequisites:
- Preregistration required with full payment at time of booking
- Must be 14 years or older
- Must be lead climb & lead belay certified at Spire
