Spring Fling - Citizens Comp

Kick off the ALMOST Spring climbing season by climbing in our annual Spire Spring Fling rope competition. You’ve been training hard all winter (is this even winter?), so come show us what you’re made of. We encourage you to dress up like it's the 80's (think spandex, bright colors, mullets, and headbands)! We'll give an extra raffle ticket to anyone that shows up in costume. We’ll have a DJ, lights, huge raffle, and prizes galore. Whether you’re climbing out of hibernation or charging into spring, this is your moment.

Date: February 21st, 2026

Registration:

• Youth USAC Regional Qualifier: $70 - Competitors must register online via the USAC website here.

• Citizens Comp:  $60 Pre-registration (Use promo code: ALMOSTSSF at checkout) or $70 starting Feb 16th. Price includes adult beverage (for those of age), raffle ticket, and spectator entry to finals. Click calendar to register online.

• Marathon Category: As many routes as you can do! One point each. Two ascents per route max.  6 hours of climbing.

• Finals Spectating:  All competitors receive free entry to finals. Non-competitor Spectator tickets are $15.  Includes a free adult beverage while supplies last, so don’t show up late. Spectator tickets are limited and must be pre-purchased online HERE.

• T-Shirts:  Spring Fling Shirts are $20 each. Shirts are limited and first-come, first-served.

*Lead Ropes: For this year's Citizen Spring Fling competition, participants will need to bring their own rope, as Spire will not be providing them for rental.

**Youth competitors may also compete in the Citizens comp for an additional $35. To register, please email info@spireclimbing.com.

***PLEASE NOTE – Only the morning session is a USAC qualifying event.  You must register through USAC directly for this session.  Youth who wish to participate in the citizens competition in the afternoon sessions WILL NOT receive USAC qualifying points.
